LSEG:
Financial infrastructure

This project marks my second contract with LSEG, a global fintech leader. I was brought on board to design two key systems. The first was a data rights management system, developed in partnership with Microsoft as part of their new collaboration. The second was a monitoring, alerts, and usage dashboard that provides users with real-time insights across the full suite of LSEG products and services.

Key project 1 - Data rights management system

Overview

The data rights management system was designed as an internal tool, enabling LSEG to create compliant data products for distribution across the company. During the discovery phase, I thoroughly mapped the existing processes, identified key personas, and proposed enhanced user journeys for the future product. As development progressed, I led the design efforts for two squads, each focusing on different aspects of the application. Additionally, I collaborated with two other designers, including an intern whom I mentored throughout her six-month tenure at LSEG.

Designing the (Data rights management system) required knowledge of various roles and personas from across multiple teams and in-depth knowledge of complex data systems. The tool is split into 3 main components, Rights management where data is onboarded and rules and regulations are bound to the data, segmentation where this data is grouped and finally product creation where the segment building blocks are put together to create great products.

Key project 2 - Future state dashboard

For the second project, the task was to envision a future-state dashboard that could be available to customers in the coming years. This involved researching emerging technologies and analyzing market trends to anticipate user needs and excitement for future features. The design integrated tools such as AI, cross-platform integrations, customizable dashboards, and more. After producing an initial prototype and presenting it to key business leaders, the project was extended to further develop the concept and run workshops across the organization to gather insights and resources.

My role

As the lead designer on both projects, the role involved driving user-centered design standards within the teams and managing stakeholder expectations. This also included coordinating component releases in collaboration with the design system team. For the future dashboard project, research into best practices in UX design and the design of an AI chatbot were key focuses. Additionally, I mentored a junior designer through regular weekly check-ins to track their progress and provided design reviews to help refine their work.
